But my journey has not been without immense struggle. I’ve faced a traumatic domestic abusive relationship and experienced the unimaginable pain of losing my fiancé, mother, and brother—my entire immediate family. Yet through the darkest moments, my faith in God and my love for my children pulled me through, giving me the strength to turn my pain into purpose.
In 2014, I founded *Sparkle Sheffield*,
www.sparklesheffield.co.uk a charity born out of my own experiences as a mother of autistic children. What started as a small initiative has grown into an award-winning charity that received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service on June 2, 2022—just before the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This recognition is a reminder of the power of community and the impact that love, compassion, and understanding can have on the world.
As the Director of *Autism Union*,
www.autismunion.co.uk I continue to advocate for autistic people and their families, leading awareness training and hosting the South Yorkshire Autism Fayre, all while fighting for a future where every autistic individual is respected, valued, and supported. In addition, I’m the CEO of *Universal Alert*,
www.universalalert.co.uk a revolutionary app that personalises care for disabled individuals, transforming the way they live and empowering them to thrive.
